About:Low-income Middle Tennessee State University students needing help with child care costs can apply for childcare grants. Grants will be available to students who are Pell-eligible; have a child or children in child care regardless of age; have a FAFSA on file with the MTSU Financial Aid and Scholarship Office; and complete a grant application for consideration for funding.

toddlers only:
(MW a.m. 9:00-11:30, TR a.m.: 9:00-11:30, MW p.m.1:00-3:30, TR p.m. 1:00-3:30) with children placed by age.
Preschool:2 sessions (MTWR a.m. 8:45-11:45, MTWR p.m. 1:00-4:00)
Period of operation:Operates 12 weeks out of each semester
Registration/Materials fee:$25/semester
Tuition Rates:Infant Toddler (12 months-35 months): $250/semester for 12 weeks
Preschool (3 and 4 year olds): $400/semester for 12 weeks
Preschool:$400/semester for 12 weeks
How funded: Families pay tuition, which cover cost other than those listed below (also tuition used for playground equipment, classroom equipment, food for snacks etc.
How does MTSU contribute:Classroom and office space
Salaries of director and two lead teachers
Students enrolled in Early Childhood Education practicum courses support the classroom teacher

Days of operation and rates:Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Closed for one week in summer, MTSU observed holidays, and other full University closures.

How funded:Tuition, United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties, grants, contributions, and donations.
How does MTSU contribute?MTSU provides space, utilities, and the director’s salary. Positions are available for work-study students at no cost to the center. Students from the field of Education and other disciplines complete observations, internships, and practicums to support their knowledge and preparation for work in early childhood.
